The Parable of Schnitzel and Macoroni- Jan 20

We had an appointment yestarday. A sweet family in our ward invited us and the Zone Leaders for lunch. We had a wonderful meal. Durning the meal, the Zone leaders asked this young family if they had life tips for us... This is when I learned that I need to become somebody's Schnitzel. Yes, not macaroni, rather, Schnitzel. The father in this home related to following parable:

A man comes home and is very, VERY hungry. He goes into the Kitchen and opens the firdge and the first thing he sees is a bowl of Mac and Cheese. "Oh yes! " he thinks, "That is exactly what I want. I need that!" So he hastily takes it from the fridge, heats it up, and eats it. Upon finishing the Mac and Cheese, he finds himself still a little bit hungry. He opens the fridge again to see if he can find something small to satisfy his little bit of hunger, ad to his dismay, he realizes that behind the Mac and Cheese, there was a large, delicious plate of Schnitzel. Now too full to eat and enjoy it all, h realizes that in his haste, he missed the real meal.

Moral of the Story: This is a likeness to marriage. When missionaries go home, they should not wait to get married, but they should also not settle for less than the Schnitzel they deserve. They should beware not to be too hasty that they miss their Schnitzel.

As soon as the parable was finished, I quickly added my two cents. "Oh great. Then it looks like I need to become somebody's Schnitzel!"
